"A Fourth for Idaho Families" Tea Party Picnic

POST by Pat Harris (Tea Party Boise Board Member and Event Coordinator) —

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their votes at our Annual Meeting on June 1. I was really pleased to see the turnout of those who are truly concerned about Tea Party Boise and obviously committed to support our organization. It is really gratifying to see there are so many true Patriots!

I am happy to see that we have some volunteers who signed up to help at the picnic. Thanks a million! FOLKS, WE REALLY NEED MORE HELP. BOTH ON THE EVENING OF THE 3rd AND ON THE FOURTH. (See the following list.) The more volunteers we have will show the public that we do care about our friends, neighbors, and those we've never met and that's what our country is all about after all. You can reach me at patgstp@gmail.com or by phone at 362-2605.

We help and care for each other, and are doing our best to see that the young folks in our city, state and nation, are not left a gigantic debt that they will never be able to pay for generation after generation. And could there ever be a more perfect opportunity than Independence Day to educate and stress that fact and the importance of the Constitution of the United States of America? Could there be a better day to let everyone know we will support and defend the fantastic document that provides their freedom and we refuse to allow it be ignored or trampled?

Could there be a more perfect day to teach everyone, from youngsters to seniors, that only organizations composed of folks like us support and defend the Constitution and refuse to be quiet when it is ignored or trampled.

The citizens of Boise became somewhat accustomed to the "Occupy" group on the opposite corner of Capitol Park and this is our chance to show up and assist in making this very first "Fourth for Idaho Families" picnic a very obvious 180 degree opposite event. THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO POINT OUT THAT WHILE THEY WERE THE 'GIMME' GROUP, WE'RE THE 'WE GIVE' ORGANIZATION. THE FOURTH OF JULY PICNIC IS OUR CHANCE TO MAKE THAT CLEAR BY OUR ACTIONS.

Will you help, either the evening of July 3 or at the picnic on the 4th when you can have a ringside seat for the parade since it will pass directly by the park.

AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO GIVE A GIFT TO AN ELDERLY OR PHYSICALLY DISABLED RELATIVE OR FRIEND THAN TO PROVIDE A SEAT ON THE BOISE TROLLEY FOR THE PARADE? $10 FOR A SEAT ONLY ... OR $20 FOR A SEAT AND BOX LUNCH. WE PROMISE THEY WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME ACTUALLY BEING PART OF THE PARADE!
