GUEST POST by Michael Bowman (Boise, Idaho) —
Mr. President, instead of focusing on incidents that are minor in the big scheme of things, why not focus on those who wish to bring to bring great harm to our nation. The Fort Hood terrorist attack happened because of your policy, well really the lack of a clear and defined policy. All the indicators were there screaming out this was going to happen and your administration ignored them. Then when this attack happened you tried to down play it as work place violence. I suggest you remove your rose colored glasses and face reality. Leading from behind is NOT leadership; it is merely reacting after the fact.
The simple fact is you don't know what leadership is. The first step in being a leader is having a clear and well defined focus for our nation to aspire to. Then it is necessary to bring it in a clear and concise way the American citizens will embrace and work towards. Nothing positive ever happens when you are postured in a reactive stance. The damage is already done and the chicken has flown the coop. True leadership requires honesty and integrity. That is something that is wholly under your control. You have failed at it miserably. You have not done one thing in over 4 1/2 years that has been positive for our nation. Your foreign policy has become the laughing stock of the rest of the world. Putin made it abundantly clear in the way he treated and reacted to you in the G8 summit in Ireland. Gorbachev would have ate your lunch and sent you to the gutter in nothing flat. If Putin would have had to deal with Reagan, he would have had complete and total respect for him as a man of courage strength and character, a man with a resolve he could not challenge. We The People are tired of deception and deflection. How about you first act like a man, instead of a spoiled adolescent. How about you come clean on all of your scandals, the truth is slowly coming out. You have committed multiple impeachable offenses and some are clearly in the realm of treason. It will take this nation and the world several decades to recover from your folly.
