My response to Barack Obama

GUEST POST by Jon Colson (Meridian, Idaho) —

Mr. Obama. First, let me congratulate you on taking one step in the right direction. In seeking Congressional approval, you have done what you should do if you feel that we should launch.

That being said, I would have really like to have seen you say that, in the absence of congressional approval, you will not launch. This was neither stated, nor implied. What was stated is that you feel that you can act without their approval. You are wrong. You have no such authority.

I would also point out that IF Assad was, in fact, the one who pulled off the attack and he is such a monster, what possible reasoning could you use to not target him and to target several places where you have already told them that you would hit. That is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard. Considering the other ideas that you have had...that is quite a feat.

I am not convinced that it was Assad as all logic points the rebels being the ones who attacked. Your history of supporting Muslim terrorists in Libya and Egypt makes this make even more sense. If the terrorists want to get you on their side...use chemical weapons and blame it on Assad. Are you so blinded by your love for Islamic terrorists that you do not see this, or are you just being your normal, deceptive self.

Finally, we have two groups, both of which hate us, killing each other. If the civilians want to leave, let them leave. But the best thing that the United States could hope for is that the Al Qaeda backed "rebels" and the Hezbollah backed Assad wipe each other out without the US firing a shot.
